Nicole is currently on maternity leave until April 2025. Bookings will be available from February 2025.

Nicole is an experienced Clinical Dietitian, Sports Dietitian & Diabetes Educator and has always enjoyed working in medical & sports settings. She founded Ascent Nutrition, Sports & Diabetes in 2018 and provides consults in Brisbane, the Gold Coast & via Telehealth. She has worked with:

Nicole grew up & studied in New Zealand and is still very much a kiwi at heart. She ventured to Australia in 2018 for warmer climes and has settled on the Gold Coast. She spends her free time adventuring, cycling or at the beach with friends, her husband Cameron & pup Merlo.

She enjoys many sports & over the years has competed in Swimming, Surf Lifesaving, Triathlon, Road Cycling, Mountain Biking, Kayak Racing, Multisport and Adventure / Expedition Racing.

Highlights include; 9th place Coast to Coast 2012, Athens Marathon finisher 2017, 6th place XPD 5 day Adventure Race 2021, 4th place world 100hr Rogaine champs Rogue 100 2022, female Rogainer of the Year QLD 2021 and her multiple week-long cycle tours around Europe and Australia.

Cameron & Nicole are expecting their first child in 2024 so the sports & appointments available with Nicole have slowed down more recently to allow for family time. She will be offering appointments again in early 2025.

Amy Allia - Dietitian

Amy is a clinical dietitian with 15 years experience who enjoys helping her clients to achieve better health by providing tailored dietary advice.  Amy is consulting for Ascent Nutrition at Generations Medical, Taringa and is available for face to face and telehealth appointments.

Her specialties include:

  • Diet approaches to management of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) including the low FODMAP diet (completed Monash University low FODMAP training)

  • Inflammatory bowel disease including crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis

  • Surgical weight management (sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y and gastric band)

  • Coeliac disease

  • Gastrointestinal conditions including diverticular disease, liver disease, gastroparesis and pre/post gastrointestinal surgery

  • Diabetes

  • Weight management

  • Gestational diabetes and maternal health

  • Diet for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and fertility

  • Nutrition support for unintentional weight loss and tube feeding

Amy has worked as a clinical dietitian in tertiary hospitals since graduating from Queensland University of Technology in 2008 and has also worked in private practice within a specialist Gastroenterology clinic. During her time working in hospitals she has worked in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgical wards and clinics, spent several years working in gestational diabetes, fertility and maternal health outpatient clinics and has worked in special care and neonatal intensive care along with private paediatric outpatient clinics and wards. Amy spends her free time with her husband and two children cooking, going on caravanning holidays, and very slowly progressing their home renovation.
